We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated classroom teachers to join our team. Year level to be negotiated.

 

Murrays Bay Primary School is proud to be a Science of Learning school. Our teaching and learning is guided by evidence-based practice, with a strong focus on how students learn best. We prioritise structured, explicit teaching, building strong foundations of knowledge, and ensuring all students can thrive.

 

We also place a strong emphasis on our school values and key capabilities, supporting students to develop as confident, resilient, and responsible learners who contribute positively to their community. We aim for children to grow not only academically but also as capable, compassionate, and curious individuals.

 

We are looking for teachers who:

• Have a passion for helping every child to learn and grow.

• Are collaborative team players who contribute to a positive, supportive staff culture.

• Have experience with, or a willingness to learn and apply, the Science of Learning approach in their teaching practice.

We offer a supportive and collegial team environment with great professional learning opportunities.

 

The relevant collective agreement sets the terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $64,119 to $95,099, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. A salary assessment will determine an individual’s actual base salary once a role is confirmed.

Our school works with SchoolDocs who hosts a website for our policies and procedures.

The school works on a subscription basis with SchoolDocs to maintain, update, and review our policies. SchoolDocs provides us with a comprehensive core set of policies which have been well researched and follow the Ministry of Education National Administration Guidelines. The policies and procedures are tailored to our school, and the school supplies specific information such as our charter, procedures for behaviour management, reporting to parents, etc.

SchoolDocs updates, modifies, or creates policies in response to changes in legislation or Ministry guidelines, significant events, reviews/requests from schools, and regular reviewing from the SchoolDocs team. Our board of trustees has the opportunity to view changes/additions and comment on them before they are implemented. We will advise you when policies are up for review and how you can take part in the review.
